You can use the pmset command line utility in Terminal to schedule specific times for your Mac to start up, sleep, restart, or shut down. You can do this if you want to be sure your Mac turns on before you come to work and turns off when you aren’t working.
Schedule your Mac to shutdwon at 11:59 p.m. and wake at 6:30 a.m. every day.
sudo pmset repeat shutdown MTWRFSU 23:59:00 wakeorpoweron MTWRFSU 06:30:00
See the current schedule.
pmset -g sched
Cancel the current schedule.
sudo pmset repeat cancel
